Monique C. Baisden is a faith-based and advocacy-focused storyteller and a purpose-driven builder of people, known as “The Purpose Extractor”.
Monique is the founder and owner of Vision 2 Launch Consulting Group, where she brings together her passion for storytelling and her commitment to building people through coaching, consulting, education, and training. Through Vision 2 Launch, she provides career development services, family caregiving consulting and training, documentary production, legacy storytelling, and screenwriting and production services. Her business is an extension of her calling, and her work is rooted in drawing out the purpose within people.
As a faith-based storyteller, Monique is the author of two inspirational books, “Single and Set Apart For A Season” and “Let Us Pray: A 12-Month Prayer Journal.” Additionally, she has written feature articles and conducted in-depth interviews as a Staff Writer for Team Jesus Magazine, including backstage media interviews with award winners at the 2019 Dove Awards. Furthermore, she provides freelance screenwriting and executive production services for faith-based publishing companies and churches, adapting authors’ books and stories into screenplays for short films.
As an advocacy-focused storyteller, Monique writes, produces, and tells the stories of those the Bible calls “the least of these.” A BMI-affiliated songwriter since 2008, she wrote and co-produced the global human rights anthem “Enough Is Enough,” then developed it into an advocacy music video she co-directed and co-produced. The project became an Official Partner of former First Lady Michelle Obama’s 2020 “When We All Vote” campaign and was recognized at the 2021 Richmond International Film Festival, the 2021 Voices Rising Film Festival, and the 2023 Indie Night Film Festival. She later adapted it into a cinematic short story that became a semifinalist in ScreenCraft’s 2024 Cinematic Short Story Competition.
As a purpose-driven builder of people, Monique is a Certified Professional Coach, Certified Life Coach, and Certified Christian Coach with experience coaching job seekers navigating career transitions and family caregivers navigating the challenges of caring for aging loved ones. She is also a former certified teacher with years of experience teaching in the Atlanta Public Schools System and other public and private schools, serving learners from kindergarten through adulthood. Additionally, she previously served as a designated Training Ambassador at a Fortune 500 company, where she developed and facilitated training for new hires and frontline staff. Her background also includes corporate human resources at The Home Depot’s Atlanta corporate office and career services at the Art Institute of Atlanta, where she supported first-generation students and graduates as they pursued employment. These experiences have equipped her to educate, train, coach, and empower individuals through seasons of personal and professional transition, and today she brings that same heart into the career education workshops and training she provides for school districts.
Beyond her professional experience, Monique spent 13 years serving as a family caregiver for both of her parents, navigating the complexities of home care, healthcare advocacy, care coordination, assisted living, and the emotional and physical demands of caregiving. As a result of her own caregiving experiences, she began supporting, coaching, and consulting other family caregivers, which eventually inspired her to develop educational workshops and presentations that equip family caregivers with practical tools, strategies, and resources to navigate their own caregiving journeys. She has partnered with nonprofit organizations including Nashville-based Mind What Matters and Atlanta-based Caregivers’ Hope to raise awareness and increase support for caregiving families. That same conviction shapes the firm’s Legacy Storytelling Services, which preserve the life stories of seniors for the families who love them.
Monique earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education (summa cum laude) from Clark Atlanta University and holds a Master of Arts degree in Communications and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University. She received her coaching certifications from Breakthrough Leadership & Coaching Academy. Additionally, she is a graduate of the ActOne Hollywood Screenwriting Program for Christian screenwriters and has taken screenwriting courses within Lipscomb University’s Master of Arts in Entertainment, Design, & Creative Enterprise degree program.
With more than 14 years of experience as a business owner and consultant, Monique and her team would be honored to partner with you and take you from vision to launch.
